Zaynab bint Khuzaymah رضي الله عنها
A Short Stay
Zaynab lived with the Prophet ﷺ for only a short time — two or three months by most reports, a few more by others — and then she died, at about thirty years of age. She was the second of his wives to die in his lifetime, after Khadijah.
The Prophet ﷺ prayed over her and she was buried at al-Baqi'. History kept almost nothing else of her: no long sayings, no famous scenes. What it kept was her name, given to her by the poor.
Allah does not measure a life by its length or its fame, but by what it gave.
If your life were remembered for a single quality, would it be one you chose?
