Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad رضي الله عنها
The Second Light
After Ruqayyah died, 'Uthman was grieving, and the Prophet ﷺ married Umm Kulthum to him in the year 3 AH. No other man is known to have married two daughters of a prophet, and so 'Uthman came to be called Dhu al-Nurayn — "the possessor of the two lights".
She lived with 'Uthman about six years, and they had no children. Of her daily life the sources record almost nothing; her name survives inside her husband's title, as a sign of the Prophet's ﷺ trust in him.
The Prophet ﷺ entrusted 'Uthman with a second daughter: the highest testimony a father can give a son-in-law.
